Ok so mum hauled me in from the field at some god unearthly hour this morning but hey at least I got breakfast
Out came the big blue lorry again, cue me pooing for England Scotland and Wales
mum didn't seem impressed though
and as well as Sunny and mum's sister Chris, Caspar and Jo came along as well, PARTY on
So had a short journey on the box and then off we all got and mum chucked my tack on whilst muttering something about 12 minutes to start. walked round nicely and then decided to forget trot and went straight into canter as it was so exciting
popped the practice fence a couple of times and then we were off
I got a bit keen going towards the start so Amy walked with us and then it was 3,2,1, and off
locked on to the novice fence which we weren't doing
and mum had to take evasive manoueveres to get me round it and off we popped over the mini course. Screeched to a stop by the gate and mum made me walk through it and then off we went again. By this time I was in my stride and thoroughly enjoying it although I must admit going round the corner I was a tad worried about mum as her breathing sounded a bit laboured
note to self to pee off with her more often and get her wind up
flew the rest off the course, motorbiking round the corner and instead of going round again mum made me stop and go back in the warm up area
hmmmph I'd only just warmed up
Sunny was next and then Caspar, who all copied me and went clear.
Mum walked me round for a bit but seemed pleased with how fit I was
Then had a chill out outside the box until the pesky flies bothered me too much so we all went on the box for a snooze.
Mum, sister and Jo then came back all excited with several large rosettes, apparantley sis and Sunny had come 1st out of 22 being 2 seconds over the optimum time - hmmph who said hairy cobs can't do speed
Mum and I came 4th as we were 14 seconds within the optimum time, and to think I wasn't even motoring
and Caspar and Jo came 6th as they were 17 seconds over the optimum time.
It was so embarrassing as mum then proceeded to give me a kiss on the face - eurgh I would rather have had a carrot
So mum was exceptionally pleased with me and muttered something about perhaps doing the novice class next time round, woohoo bigger fences and longer course
Also had lots of fuss from Mooch, JAK and Palamino Pony who had come along for the morning too
Just got to work out how to convince mum to jump bigger and then we can go and have lots more fun
any ideas much appreciated?
