Percy and Zoom live with my mum in France. She is 61 and wasn't horsey before I got mine 7 years ago.
I got a text from my dad on Thursday to say that mum had fallen and broken her wrist when leading the horses up from the field
I was terrified that Percy had done something bad and hurt my mum.
It turns out mum's laces had come undone and Zoom stood on the lace and sent mum flying. A very unfortunate accident!!!
BUT instead of being upset, the first thing my mum said on the phone is how happy she was that Percy waited quietly on the side of the road for 20 minutes until dad came to the rescue. My dad is not terribly mobile after having a stroke but Percy then walked beautifully up to the house with my dad even when the tractor went past. What a star!!!
It's a good thing he's so quiet as mum will be in plaster for 6 weeks at least
Sooooo...........at 9 months he is now leading, tying up, grooming, having the farrier trim his feet all perfectly! Love love LOVE him!!!
Pointless post but so glad everything is going to plan.
