My friend has a lovely mare who in the past has had 3 foals. although she can convert thin air into fat, she isnt that bad at the moment, but her "mummy tummy" makes her look fatter than she actualy is. she is a warmblood.

is ther any specific excersises for tonning the under caridge up?

at the moment she just gets hacked around 2-3 times a week, walk/trot, so isnt and wont be getting fit, but my mate is going to try to have lessons etc come spring.

There is a stomach lift exercise you can do with a clicker, if you have the patience. You start by asking the horse to back up (lifting the stomach is an essential part of this), and reward the back up with a click and treat, clicking and treating earlier and earlier until all the horse is doing is lifting the stomach muscles on command.

Not as much fun as riding the horse to get it fit and muscled perhaps, but a different way of building a bond
