I have haybars, in terms of stable management, I have one horse that empties the haylage into his bed every night, one used it as a scratching post until he broke it and the yearling so far works well. But I love them, really helped topline, I find putting the haylage in easier than stuffing a net.
i have haybars, but have just had to resort to tying haynet on wall low inside haybar, as 2 of mine scoop all the hay out! the other mare isn't a hooligan so haybar works perfectly for her.
the munch stations keep it all under control, but i'd prob worry about them eating for hours with neck twisted to side. with haybar they keep their neck straight as they eat, in a natural position.
I've got a haybar and at first had a tendency to fill it completely with hay and as a result most of it ended up on the floor. Now I only fill it with the amount my horse will eat during the night and theres no wastage now. I like them and agree they're easier to fill than faffing with nets!
i have a munch station for V its great, i do pull the hay through the bars a bit just to start him off, then by morning its all gone or nearly i swear by it he has great top line and the hay stays in 1 place

I think they're much too narrow for that.

The stable bars are too close in theory, the force with which a horse rolling or kicking forces the bars apart and then they can close around the horses foot.
was having a look at my munch station today , the bars are even closer together than the stable bars, by quite a fair amount. plus my munch station is always packed with hay, and i pull the hay out of the gaps a little bit to get him started, never had a problem its been up in his stable since he was 10months old , although he is a fairly calm soul. But i guess horses can do damage to themselves with absolutely anything , fencing, doors, buckets etc etc so i am going to take the chance. i guess they could even injure themselves on hay bars to no doubt. x
