Well im back
cant tell you how fab Hattie was - she has just decided to grow up
Turned up and still didnt know my dressage score, couldnt decide whether i wanted to know or not before i went SJ and XC as if it was good i would put pressure on myself to go double clear and if it was bad i would be cross!!
So Mum went to look and came back grinning - i couldnt resist so she told me - GOBSMACKED is the only word to describe it! she got a mark of 30 which gave us best dressage in our arena
But there was no margin for error either
Anyway so got her ready for SJ feeling all excited!! Warmed up well apart from spooking at the two large realistic Swan statue things!! Went in and jumped a bit babyishly (overjumping) but still jumped well and i managed to stay in the saddle too!! so came out with a clear YAY
So gave her a rest and went to watch how the first couple of XC fences were riding. - seemed fine! Ambled down to the warm up and had 9ish before me so gave her a leg stretch in trot and then walked her round for a bit. Seemed quite tired but then she kept getting spooked by the finishers bombing flat out for the finish line and she became like sitting on an unexploded bomb
so she jumped well in the warm up and off we went
went the direct round through the angled tiger trappy things at 5 and 6 which i had been contemplating taking the long route at
flew round 7 - 11, hurled us both full pelt through the water and took it in one stride
hopped through the ditch to a palisade and we sailed home
she was tired and running high on adrenaline so didnt push for a fast time and almost came in bang on the optimum
(it was 5.09mins i came in on 5.06mins
)
SOOOOOO to my and Mum's shock me and Hattie WON
heheee sooooooooo emmensely proud of my girlie
a very good day had all round
Also met Hammiehamlet and Ellaxx who were both lovely
