Then back up to PN the following week at Moreton Morrell.
Hopefully finish off at BCA (subject to ballot).

Anyone else going to these?

Ive just entered Munstead OPN as I had to withdraw from Goring

Munstead will be my first event from broken collar bone and my first event on Dexter

having not evented since Tweseldown!!

I always think Munstead is quite small the PN is more like a big Intro although they might change a few things

I just need the run tbh. Moreton Morrell wont be the easiest PN back but its the last crack at the 5 year old class which i can say at least i had a go.

Yes its nice to just have a go isnt it. Are you to far away to go to Firle? There is a 5yr old PAVO there this weekend, thought you may have entered but maybe too far...?

Stupid pony Dexter is pacing up and down field!

Can see him from my bedroom he has only been out 2hrs!!

Think i'll be at Munstead on the Sunday, hoping they dont ballot the OPN as I cant find Dexters stickers! Ballot date is sat and only 20 entries at the mo so fingers crossed!

hello hun

Munstead is small - I schooled Bonnie around there a few months ago - I put the pics up here. It's straight forward, but it is hunted and used all year so is rutty in places which in hard ground isn't good.

It's a short course and round the edges of 2 fields, has water, coffins and some of the fences are perm, the others are moveable. the chap who owns the site builds XC courses for a living and so quite nice fences when dressed.

are you just going schooling there? i could come and meet you and B and Snoops could play together!!! it's almost hacking dist from me but not quite!

let me know.

Hi V

Its a fairly simple course as BE courses go and some say trappy, very friendly event, the ground is sandy so usually good. Loads of room for dressage warm up. Sj is a very slight slope and Xc around the edges of fields. Photos I think are on event riders? They are always making slight changes and use some portables.

Might take Saf not sure yet, have only just been given licence to move horses from the yard as in F&M area so have dropped back to PN for Highclere and Goring and hope to go back to Nov for BCA, as missed a lot of work.

Are you doing the unafil at Tweseldown before BCA?

I don't like Munstead - the course might be small for intro and PN but its very trappy-more of a hunter trial course. Can get very boggy too. Competely flat, course aorund a couple of fields.
Anyway, here are few course photos:

Are okay, so snoopy is likely to take the mickey it would seem lol
Oh well, its just nice to get him out.

Its gonna be nearly a 2 hour drive for us anyway. Holly Firle is miles away for us im affraid, plus its my 30th this weekend lol so have a few parties to go to

Saf, Im doing Munstead, Moreton Morrell and then BCA which is on the tuesday after Moreton morrell on the saturday, so cant fit it all in lol

I thought 3 close runs together would do him a lot of good before going hunting this autumn.

Good luck at Highclere hon, its a great course.

Thanks for the pics. Fences look okay to me, very similar to Stilemans.
It will be nice just for him to tinkle round i think he is afterall only 5

Well I would love to be doing it myself
