So we gave munto a day off yesterday....

Baaaad idea.

We had just got (gotten

) him going nicely and he was nice and calm about people getting on him (BIIIG issue before...think he may need his back checked....again...but anyway)

so was in the field...all tacked up...start getting on, nice and calm, stroking his neck and talking to him...

got one foot in stirrup and start swinging leg over and BAM

off he goes at full bloody gallop, needless to say i dont make it to saddle and am now sat on his arse

was contemplating juyst throwing myself off but he was darting everywhere and probs would have stood on me or something

finalllly get him pulled up after a few circuits bucking and spinning

and slither off shaking. all i hear is helen yelling "well bloody sat

" and we both cracked up laughing..
his saddle had shot up his neck, which hadnt helped

wengt with steph to get her ponios, and she decided to wear a hat...i didnt, tbh i rarely do when catching...

so i toddle off to get pinto, steph is getting sam...hear a snort/squeal, a scream and spin round and sam has lashed out at steph kicking her hat and then pegged it bucking down the field

Sounds like you had one of those days.... Glad no injuries to anyone, though. We had a similar reminder to wear hats and gloves when catching neds today. My big lump of a gelding pulled my friend over when she was leading him in from the field - she bumped her head in the fall, and hurt her hand. Stupid horse then tore back up the field at 100mph. Must be something in the air!

You have much more nerve than me - I don't think I would see the funny side of that incident for a long time!! Well done - glad nobody was hurt.
