I couldn't resist posting this, Murph got stuck in the pond at the bottom of our field for the second time. First time last week I had to wade in and get him but when he did it the other day I insisted Martin went in - and he gave me his phone to hold, this is the result!! I think Murphy had chased a duck and then realised he didn't like the water so got stuck on the reeds in the middle, he is a sandwich short of a picnic so then went on to do it again, doh!

no, but it was close and we had to walk back up to the yard before I could go! I have to say in defence of my 'nagging' that I got him out in about 3 minutes when I had to go in because I thought it out and I just floated him back most of the way on the pieces of railway sleeper things that were there. Martin spent so long thinking he could do it better that it seemed to take forever.........

Ha ha ha ha!!!! Cracked up!! Why can't men just listen to us in the first place??!!!!

xxxxxxx

LOL. If you just walked off and left him wouldn't he have come across eventually on his own?

NO! lol, we had played going out of sight and Martin attacking me so I screamed, normally Murph would have been straight in there to protect me - he just stood and cried/yelped because he was upset he couldn't get to me. We also walked up the field as if we were goiong to leave him and he just stood crying and barking. I think he chases the ducks and then realises where he is, panics, so just scrambles onto solid ground. Bless him, he is such a puff!

Lol his tail was wagging the whole time though - he knew exactly what he was doing!
Hope you cooked something reeeeeally good for your OH after that! :D

He didn't cook for me when I had to go in, he left me to see to it on my own after phoning me asking me to go and help him and then had the nerve to ask me how I got him out! Fortunately I had my longjohns on under my jeans and just took my jeans off but my muck boots still stink from the pondwater! There is too much rubbish in there to go in bare feet. Murphy always has a wagging tail, he is a happy boy, bless him!

Couldn't you leave a little canoe out there so he could paddle back when he's finished his duck chasing? :D:D:D

LOL, I might get one for Martin so he can rescue him without getting wet in future. Little sod insists on flying down there and looking for the ducks every time we go near, couldn't even check fencing this morning because I was so worried he would get stuck and I didn't have the time to mess about!
