I can't remember how much I had said on here but about 2 weeks ago we had a real scare with Murphy. He was very quiet, not interested in food (totally out of character!) and struggling to get up and walk. If we lifted his food and water bowls he was his old self but wouldn't touch it on the floor.
Off to vet who was worried it could have been spinal damage or neurological damage. He had an anti inflammatory injection and seemed better for a few days then went down hill again. Back to Vets who put him on a week of steroid tablets which he improved on massively. He has some more which we're to wean him off but given the shape of his spine the vet suspects whoever had him before caused the damage and playing with Tia has aggravated it. Unfortunately is means in the long term he will be totally fine but can't play with Tia or play rough so we are going to push with rehoming him as an only dog or with an older dog (he is fine playing with Jack). I will admit I'm a bit heartbroken, he is now 14kg so although still thin, a healthy weight and generally a well balanced, happy chappy. He will sit, down, paw and spin. He is fab on the lead, fab with even quila who grumps at him. Photos when I'm on a pc atwwork
