Has anyone had any experience of very specific muscle atrophy on a horse's neck?
Had the sports massage lady out yesterday and she commented on the very narrow line of muscle atrophy she found on both sides of my horse's neck, roughly following the line of her neck vertebra. It's developed in the last month, since her previous visit.
Horse not currently work but no obvious signs of discomfort or lack of flexibility.
No history of falls or being cast.
She does toss her head a lot, more so when irritated or frustrated. Don't know if that's a red herring or a red flag!
