My 6 year old sports horse has just come back from 4 months off due to lameness and shes lost all her muscle and looks like a giant foal!

Ive never heard of horses having supplements to help build muscle but thought it might be worth asking if anyone had any experience good or bad? I know people can take protein shakes etc and wondered if there was a horsey alternative?

Im currently feeding her up and lunging to turn it into muscle, riding now and again, but i want to take it steady with her.

Thanks

ohh there was a voucher off one in my vets bumpf that came today, equitop myoplast I think it was called. If you want to try it ive got a £15 voucher, Ill post it you if you like its no good to me lol

im on the same position as you at the moment. my musclie tb is now a whipet. when he was in work before he went lame i had him on global herbs muscle up and with the correct work it was fab.

you can get this by visiting their website. equitop myplast pearls are the best but not cheap at arond £60 a pot.

another vote for myoplast here - got my scrawny (well he was) 6yo on it and love it. Cheapest place I can find it is Surrey Equestrian/Surrey Pet Supplies and you can use £15 voucher there too.
