It would be greatly appreciated if you would kindly take the time to complete this survey. This survey is part of a BSc (Hons) research project investigating musculoskeletal injuries experienced by event horses and how these impinge on the horses athletic career. The survey will look into whether there is a link between the type of injury sustained, the structures affected and rehabilitation methods used, with the prognosis and likelihood of return to competition.
We hope to utilise the information gathered from this survey to further advance equine health and welfare while also prolonging competitive careers through identification of common injuries, their causes and prognosis with a view to reducing their incidence. All information provided is anonymous and all data is kept in accordance with the data protection act of 1998.
The results of the project will be available upon request, by either emailing eventinginjuries@hotmail.co.uk or by the provision of a SAE.
