Mushrooming !

What does that mean? Ive not heard it up here before. My imagination says it's by taking haylage grim the bottom?

I've only ever used roundbales on their side so have just unrolled them as such. At yard we've got in bales and they're upright, I was told to pull from the bottom first... But surely it would tip over?!

when people take haylage from the top of round bales, so the bottom ends up really thick and hard to pull off so when you try, you just get a few strands at a time. People should use the whole slice and work down and round! lol so the bale ends up looking like an upside down mushroom.
