Music in an indoor school

Has anyone tried to set up permanent speakers/CD player in an indoor school?I don't want to spend a fortune but the portable CD player I'm using is heavy on batteries and a bit delicate

for the job.What's the best way to stop it all getting choked with dust (I know, water the school....if only it were that simple....) <font color="blue"> </font>
