Ekkk... I have entered Music class in 2 weeks but need to create my CD etc.... anyone use a good music software where I can obviously make CD, Wave/MP3's etc.... Not TOO complicated although I do not mind too much of a challenge! One that change tempo if necessary but not a fortune!! Ideas ??? Cant quite afford £100 or so for a professional one...

ummmmmmmm I know!!!! Well, if I am not ready I will have to miss it..... but thought I would give it a shot!!!!! Either that or I will get someone to hum a tune whilst I go through my routine.. would be different eh??!!!!

I'm doing the Novice Music at Patchetts on the Sunday! You could always borrow my music although I'm not sure Jungle Book will go with either of your horses!

I make mine in Window's movie maker most computers have it on them.

Best advice I can give is open the program beat it with a kipper for about 2 evening solid about 6 hours a night and if you click drag hit drag click hit view play hit and drag, it will work.

I'm not much help but I could talk you through it if you want

Well I was going to do the AF Elem on the Sat but decided to take the pressure off myself (and ease the finances a bit) and just do the novice, shame though as I would have liked to have seen everyone. I'll make sure Finn McCoul videos the music and then will stick a link up on here.

Mixmeister, you can download a trial free but its not very expensive anyway with the dollar being weak, think it was about £25. I know we had a professional one done and he then changed the trot music for us but I then altered that on mixmeister. It is quite easy but you will have to make sure that you take off the protection on downloads[ sorry can't remember how I did that but it wasn't very complicated and mixmeister told me how to do it]. Their backup service was very good. You can easily put music in the mixmeister library then pick out bits listen to then take bits out add bits, fade in ,overlap, alter tempo of some bits.Listen to it and burn it off.If I can do it anyone can. It is just difficult to choose the music.
Anyway why am I helping you ,you are my opposition

Thanks bellapuff 3 I will give that a go.

Carthorse, I saw this programme and did wonder if it was ok, so if you have it I will trust you!!! If I have any problems I will be contacting you you know!!! Ha!!! .. I doubt I will do this in time but will have a good go......... you know you are too kind not to help!!! Opposition or not!!!!tehe

I have just downloaded some thing to add a beat to the back of my walk music ready for the RC champs but I'm still in my first 6 hours kipper beat session. teeteetee Pete banned me from playing the track last night after about 3 hours but he is away all week so maybe by weekend I will no how to work it.

Freestyler I have a horse type music you can have if you can't get sorted its Madonna Rocky Music and something else

Don't offer her any music, make her work for it.I am enjoying the thought of her spending hours trailing through music. She is very good and we don't need her to have much time to practice.PMSL

I downloaded a free 30 day trial of Sony sound forge audio studio version 9.0 which has allowed me to put together some music quite easily, speed up or slow down tracks and join the tracks together neatly, fade in and out etc. You have to find the tracks in the first place though, but I went on itunes and played a few samples whilst playing a video of me riding my horse.
I've been impressed with the Sony audio studio and am thinking of purchasing the full program when my trial runs out. Oh, its easy to use too, I am not good with computers and software etc - but have found this easy and there is a help package installed on it too.

Have fun!!

FYI, I've used a package called MAGIX for 3 or 4 years to help make sound effects for am-dram use (though it was really designed to use for music). It's pretty easy to cut, chop, stretch, shrink, join, fade, crossfade, repeat, younameit anything that you can get from a music CD or MP3. If I say so myself, I've done some great sound-effect mixes with it.

Thanks Bella3puff, I may take you up on that!!! I will let you know by tomorrow!!!

Oy Carthorse!!! LOL!!!

Thanks Troi and Kittykate, I will try them both now.......hubbies tea is going to be awfully late tonight!!!

Ive got soundforge V9 and Mixmeister Studio which ive got on my computer from my DJing days (!) Mixmeister studio allows you to take vocals off tracks - altho sometimes it can make the main beat go off a bit and sound a bit slurry, it depends on the range of the vocals.

Mixmiester is a million times easier to use than soundforge, i used to get quite confused with SF, and only used it as its good for splitting tracks and loops etc for when i was making my own CDs. Mixmiester is more for the novice in a way, but still does a good a job as soundforge.

Im going to combine the two for my music and see how i get along as ive decided to take the plunge and im going to do the elementary and medium music at sparsholt in feb - yes its ages away, but im so busy it gives me lots of time to sort out the music and floor plans for them both.
