Ronnie's current MW leaves a naked triangle when he puts his head down to eat and the wind catches him wrong. I felt sorry for him last winter, and would like to solve the problem if possible. Are there any detachable neck rugs that don't leave a naked triangle? What about the Premier Equine ones?

I use a Mark Todd one and that is fone - not sure if they still do a detachable neck - other alternative I use is a shires neck cover on a Loveson rug (fitting worked ok)

The Fal-Pro range have detachable necks that fix on with a zip, so they have no gap at all and the neck is much more securely attached.

When the neck is off, there is a bit of binding that fastens over the zip with velcro so it's all very neat with no rough edges.

Im afraid Im a bit of a scruf,

so I mix and match rugs/covers etc! Ive got my girly in a blue saxon rug and a purple masta hood. It keeps her dry and warm! I find the masta neck rugs come down over the withers well and theres never a gap x

Masta's are ok on some horses - but on my TB mare the bottom bit always managed to get turned up and leave her with a gap at the bottom of her masta neck cover. The pony had a MW amigo rug last winter with the neck cover on - which I was dubious about - but that is really good for not leaving a gap at the bottom of the neck.
The only thing I don't like about the amigo neck covers that I have is that they aren't padded - which sometimes does leaving my wussy pony feeling a bit chilly.

I am seriously tempted with the premier equine rugs though - but really shouldn't buy anymore rugs!!!
