So for ages I have wanted a snuggy hood set for one of mine but they are really expensive and I have always had other things to spend the money on.

So last week I thought I would buy the stuff to make one and then give it a go!!!

I went for some plain boring fleece....Lol....

So today brought, snipping, measuring, snipping, more measuring, amending, snipping, sewing, ear making sewing, smiling, trying on and laughing!!!!

What do you think?!

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I just need to shorten the nose bit slightly. She looks toasty though and the material cost £15 so way cheaper than the £90 hood.

Im pretty proud of myself!!!!

Lilly on the other hand disagrees!!!!!!

What do you think?!?!

She does not look amused.....I on the other hand think it's great. Well done and do you take orders?;)

I might try and make another one, I think I could only make them if I had the horse to measure it off, its made to measure only dontya know!!!

the sad eyes say it all really :D

I think she wanted something girly :D

There was this AMAZING girly pink swirly material but there was only 1m of it and it needs to be longer so there werent any other girly patterns. There was baby pink or purple, tartan or baby blue with white spots so nothing really exciting.

Also she does have a crazy amount of pink stuff, so maybe the aliens cancel some of it out!!!

I think you should be starting up your own business ;)

I also like how it goes right back onto the body, I think it's better than others i've seen for that reason alone.

Clever girly!

I did wonder about making a rug too but didn't want to be too ambitious to start with!!!

I have a outdoor rug like this which has eye and ear holes so I made a template from that, then sewed the front. Then re snipped it so it was the right size to join up under her neck and sewed it. Then I made the ears and sewed them on!!!!

She looks as thrilled as Peerke did when photographed wearing tinsel, antlers and bells on his legs! (Oh and he was walked to the pub dressed like that!)

I made it so it just pulls on and off so I sewed it at the bottom but I guess you could just sew in some velcro or a zip at the bottom with relative ease!

You are missing a huge trick if you don't take custom orders for these. Good for you, I struggle to sew a button on so something like this is way out of my league.

I would do but people would have to bring me their horses to measure the material off!!! I don't think I could make them otherwise!! Made to measure pyjamas for ponies lol
