my 11 year old tb has huge lump side of dock

Hi guys I'm a new member I've got a 16.3 tb and the other day we found a lump size of half a football at the side of her dock this has come up in the last few days it doesn't bother her at all

Sorry I am thinking poss melanoma has anyone else had something like this I know they are common in older grey horses but it's been one thing after another with her

Could be a few things, a haematoma springs to mind, vet will know as soon as he/she sees it I'm sure.

Hi guys I've not called her yet as gonna see if it goes down if she's had a kick or anything it has literally come up with in a week

If it's come up suddenly I'd suspect either a haematoma or an abscess. Either way, with a lump that size I'd get the vet as if it is a haematoma it could need draining and if anything else it wants identifying and treating.
