i feel so sorry for 2 of my freinds at my yard - they are both now selling their lovely horses and are very upset - both for different reasons - but neither know how much to ask as it seems that prices seem to vary going from one extreme to the other for the same 'type ' of horse, so a how much please?
16.2 13yr gelding won BSJA, BHTA & Brit Dressage 12pnts in few outings, 2nd rc champs last year qualified this year?
also
16hh mare fab jumper affiliated with atitiute!!!! will go far!!!
sorry this is my first 'how much' but i told them id ask you guys for rough estimate on price - thanks

Hmmm, first one £4500
Second, you haven't said how old....
But I'm not very good at this so don't take my word

Do not mean to ask personal questions, but are they being sold for 'personal' reasons or because they are difficult/problem horses? If the latter, then that would have an impact on their value.

1st horse is a schoolmaster type - the rider is very good - she was going to sell him last year but as her children are very young and he is so easy to do she has waitded till this year - she wants another project or youngster to bring on - she is thinking about £3 - £31/2 which i think is areally reasonable price.
2nd one is more difficult and is a jumper - owner doesnt have the time to ride lots and compete on a weekly basis which is what the horse needs - she isnt an allrounder type and owner wants to jump dressage hunt pleasure ride and hack so hence the sale.
do you think anyone would be interested?

Well it would depend on if they had been out and done anything. A schoolmaster can fetch good money if it has been out and competed or done a bit of this and that. A more difficult horse such as the second one mentioned will take more time - if it has competed and jumped for instance B Novice then it has some form.
To be honest the second owner sounds like she should buy the first type mentioned!!!!
If I were you I would leave well alone and let em get on with it!!
The first, without pic or more info 2-3K
The second 2 ish unless it has done something and then perhaps a bit more. However, at the end of the day, as I am sure you are aware, a horse is worth what someone is prepared to pay for it! People fall in love with hoses for all sorts of different reasons and what is one persons passion is anothers poison. xx
