This is my event plan for this season, have had to limit Tam's events to one a month due to her tendon needing a quieter season with less galloping. Tinky, my 5yo, has also got a few events to do too!

Tam's events are in RED
Tinky's events are in BLUE
And if I take them both the event is in black, but don't think that will happen!

MARCH:
Nothing, as am starting Tam late in order to have peak fitness, and am contemplating whether to go to Moreton BE80 with Tinky, but may do an Unaff or something rather than pay all that money!

APRIL:
2 - South West ONu18 XC Training at Stockland Lovell
9/10 - Larkhill BE90
30/1 - Possibly Solihull BE90 if it doesn't clash with Badminton XC day!

MAY:
7/8 - Hambleden BE100
15 - our PC SJ show, do the PN, and Novice Height with Tam, Intro and PN with Tinky.

JUNE:
4/5 - If I can ride whilst GCSEing then Ascott Under Wychwood BE90/BE100
11/12 - Great Tew ONu18

JULY:
2/3 - Glanusk BE90 OR Shipton Moyne 5yo, depending on how it all goes!
16 - PC Open Area Stressage!
23/24 - PC Open Area Eventing at Bovington
29 - PC Open Area SJ at Newbury Showground

AUGUST:
Not really planned after July, however would love to do Firle 5yo on 27/28 with Tinky at the end of it., and would probs give tam a few weeks off hacking.

SEPTEMBER:
Same as above, although aiming for Monmouth ONu18 on 17th with Tam, and hopefully be at BE100 with Tinky.

OCTOBER:
No real plan, but would like to try Larkhill Novice if I've got an XC at u18. See where we are with Tinky.

Thought it was more realistic just to have a few goals at the end of the season in case injuries crop up again, or we have to holiday early etc. so will see where we are.

Am obviously going to slip in some BSJA with Tam between events, hoping to step up to 1m15/1m20 BSJA and get more experiencerd as a rider, as she's a SJer really so it should be fab.

Opinions on the Larkhill courses in recent years would be good, have only ever done a Hunter Trial over the Novice in 2008 on my old 13.2hh and I recall it being Revamped?

Also, Gt Tew info would be brill, as well as Monmouth.

Let me know if you're doing any events on my list! :D xxxx

I think I'll be at most of those!

Larkhill Novice is really nice - fairly kind and very inviting - you do have to bounce up a step and over a rail though which is the toughest XC fence IMO.

Great Tew is another nice Novice - SJ is sometimes tricky but if your horse is a SJer you should be fine :) you have to jump off a decent drop and turn to a little angled skinny though, but on the whole very inviting!

Excellent, forgot to say the Novices I've done before - I've done Hambleden, Borde Hill which was twisty, and West Wilts.

Sounds fab that those novices are nice - watched the youtube of Gt Tew xc and think i saw the drop-skinny you are talking about. Thanks for your help, hopefully see you around!

Hambleden normally has a few decent step combinations, so if you were OK there then the other two should be fine! Best of luck :)

Yes, it was PC event over the Novice course with a few other fences added in, I did the main Novice water, so a log in, and then a mixture of the novice and 1* fences throughout, so it was quite beefy, and had 3 bounce steps down, and 2 bounce steps up, and then a stride to an arrowhead, so hopefully we are ok with steps! :D Thanks again!

May see you at Larkhill in april if I have my ginger one sorted by then!
As above, larkhill's novice is lovely and inviting, did the 100 there last april but had my eye on the the novice ;) The step up and rail was the toughest, though I was walking it with my grey in mind who likes a decent take-off stride!

Mini TX will no doubt see you at PC Area. However, due to all sorts of things we wont be fielding an Open eventing team, so she will be going as an individual (one has given up, one is on the long list the Junior Euros ....), with dressage, maybe yes a team, but definitely as an individual. Area SJ - hmm, with our pole basher? She may do Larkhill, or may do Portman ONU18, not decided yet. Hambledon is a possibility, as is Glanusk or Shipton Moyne. Lots of decisions to make. She really wants to get to Weston Park this year on our regions JRN team, plus do a 1* at some point. No doubt hers and yours paths will cross at some point. If you do Monmouth they definitely will - one of her favourite events.

Here is my calendar of events :D

That's a shame there won't be a team from your PC this year TX1! Our PC might manage a team of 4 this year, but still, it's fingers crossed and everything. It would be lovely to see you out and about :) We are hosting the Area SJ this year again as no one wanted to, so I will no doubt be completely manically disorganised and probs will be too flustered to do well... I can hope!

Hopefully see you all out and about!

Yep MiniNR will be doing many of those on Pig, starting with Larkhill. But we are Area 13 so different venues to you. Hopefully new boy Cruise will also make an eventing debut but have to get on top of fitness before XC schooling so we shall wait and see but fingers crossed :D

Hopefully see you about Izzy, all depends on how far the new one goes and if we find a replacement for tetley when we sell him in the spring :( but maybe larkhill moreton etc and areas of course ill look out for you :D

I'll be at Firle! It's a lovely event, well worth travelling for. Nice gallopy course but quite tough across all levels :)

Best of luck with Tam. Hope she gets through the season injury free. :ekk: at the prospect of BSJA-ing at 1m15/1m20 !! :D
