My 28 yr old managed to scratch his ear with his hind leg last night..

.... it amased me that he could still get his leg up there !!

Just thought I'd share that as it shocked me so much and I was convinced he was going to fall over !! But it made me smile at the same time, he reminded me of a little foalie !!!

It was just 'one of those moments'

I love it when they do that - they look sooo silly. I remember OH having a fit when he saw FB do it the first time as he had no idea that horses scratched like that!!

I know how you feel - it always makes me smile when the 37 year old canters down his field for his feed doing little bucks (only about 3 inches of the ground

Ari prefers the full-on body shake from nose to tail - also interesting when riding, I thought my teeth were going to come out the first time he did it, now I'm more prepared

That made me laugh. Mine loves to shake too, it always makes me laugh hysterically, which is more unbalancing then the shake! We went on a sponsored ten mile ride just after xmas and she kept doing it all the way around, I had a stitch by the time we got back to the lorry!

First time I ever fell off was because a pony did a full body shake while I was doing "around the world!" LOL The pony was called lucky.... lol
