Well, not much to report really apart from the fact that the big orange one is in the dog house.

We were entered for the 90 first and were 53rd out of 56 to go, we warmed up really well so in we went. He took the first fence fine, had a look at the second but popped it nicely, came around to the 3rd (a spread with a tiger trap filler in it) and he was a girl and we had a stupid stop so he could have a look but he jumped it brilliantly 2nd time, fences 4, 5 & 6 he popped well but when it came to the jump out of the arena and he was a girl again and wouldn't go near it so that was the end for us!

We were entered for the 1m aswell so in we went (with a bigger pair of spurs), he took the first and second fences perfectly then we had steering problems (I didn't have any

) coming around to the 3rd, which was a double, and we went in all crooked and on a naff stride which I couldn't correct so we had run out. I re-presented and apart from taking the top plank off the first element he jumped through well. Number 4 was a rustic spread, we had a perfect approach, perfect stride.......But he said no

I have to say well done to Addington, it was a fantastic day, really well run and I think a good time was had by all! The one thing that I think ruined the day was the heat, I should think most people got burnt.

Big thanks to Cazza!!!! She was a star and drove me and helped me out......Work placement is so hard

You were certainly NOT alone in the star struck horse stakes.
A lot of the showjumpers were having issues with the natural fences and quite a few were being a bit jobsworth about jumping out of the area. Except the one that flew over the area fence instead of the log.

Naw dont worry, like 4Faulter said you were not alone. Many got eliminated on the saturday just doing the BN - we werent even jumping logs but some of the horses refused point blank to go near them - horses were rearing and napping all over the place, including some very smart well known sjers horses!!

Best of luck this weekend hun.

Hey don't worry, like BBs says, even the normal classes were tough enough! Personally, I got ditched in the BN AND the Disco, at the same line (of black and white fences). Managed to redeem himself on Saturday in a jumping lesson and then really made it up to me by scoring his best Elem score at Patchetts on Sunday, but definitely brought me back to earth on Friday with a bump!

Bad luck, I've only ever done one derby on him, and the only derby fences in it were a dry ditch and a bank. He's never had to jump out of an arena before.

Well, we shall go xc schooling and have another crack at a derby at Wales and West in September

I only bought one pro pic of us cantering to the 2nd fence in the 90 but you can see Cazza's white legs in the background so if I posted it you might be blinded

PMSL @ Cazzas legs - see what being a desk bunny has done to her

At least you know what you are going to have to work at - no doubt when we go to W&W I will be elim'ed at the first fence

Still, we shall have a laugh

You mean I'll have the laugh as I'm going to be driving! And you can stop laughing at my white legs right now missy! I got sufficiently crispy at the weekend that they now no longer look like Super_Kat's impression of a Daz commercial! Oh and by the way Super_Kat has a new name . . . . . . . . . She was going to be called Jim Bob, we then all rolled around laughing and called her Gump, was going to settle on Bush but after consulting her mum we have dedided on . . . . . . . . . . .

GIMPY!

Yes, lets - just not today, i feel as sick as a dog and mother keeps laughing at me as I have spent the morning grumbling about everything, got to Ciren to do the shopping and had forgotten my wallet - not a happy camper!
