This just goes to show that even the biggest of banks do absolutely nothing! So I'm now at a jumping yard in England (long way from home) and my boss is currently jumping in Spain so it's just me on the yard. So come out the house (I live on site) to the yard after lunch and find one of our 4 year olds cast in a very awkward position in a corner... So I get her quiet and try to get her out but no luck, and phone my boss' wife who is not in Spain but can't get a hold of her, even though I know she is in London doing business. Phone boss in Spain, no answer. Phone other groom in Spain and I am told 'get a lunge rope and pull her over' DO THESE PEOPLE NOT THINK I HAVE TRIED THIS!!! Get hold of wife and she is 5 mins away an comes to help, me starting to panic (if they didnt think I was the mad Scottish one they do now) By this point the horse has just given up. Nearly had her over but she was just not helping us atall, so phone the vet, who we also find is in Spain. WHAT USE IS THIS?! So we somehow manage to get a bale of straw under her backend (while horse is trying to eat it at this point) but she is still not helping us. So phone the fire brigade, they show up and ask if we can strap something to her head to move here, me answering NO, realising later he ment a head collar LOL. So the fire brigade ask us to show them what we have been doing to get her up, we demonstrate and she gets up... Was probably the most embarrassing thing ever that we phoned them for nothing... Atleast they were nice to look at
