I had some bad news today, a family member has been diagnosed with cancer which hit me quite hard. I left work after being unable to concentrate and went to the yard. I'd only left my horses an hour earlier yet they still greeted me with a whinny. Both of them were full of cuddles and kisses and they just amaze me how sensitive they are to your mood. It was as if they knew i needed some comforting today and they were both in such good spirits. Unfortunately whilst brushing my boy before tacking up i noticed some scabs on his back and it appears that he has rain scald so we got the hibiscrub out but i rode my girl and she was a superstar. Despite my low mood they both picked me up when i most needed it and i feel so lucky to have them. I love my babies so much what would i do without them!!

So sorry for your bad news, hope they can get on top of it and that everything works out ok. Glad your neds cheered you up though, i have always found them to be the best help when you need some quiet and hugs. I'm sure they do know your mood and when to be sweet, i've never had a horse/pony be naughty when i have been upset and some of them could be a nightmare at times!

((((hugs and healing vibes)))))
Horses are wonderful when you are down, and my boy has helped me through some very dark times. I tend not to ride him when i am feeling too bad as he is very sensitive and plays up a bit
