After stressing majorly about not being able to ride much due to damaging my back we have sorted an arrangement where a lady rides Hovis for me on a Tuesday night in a lesson with my instructor and then my instructor rides him for me a couple of times a week. I'm trying to ride twice a week but it is SO painful!
He has been a little star and has gone really well for both of them. So much so that my instructor decided to put him over a couple of jumps! Just tiddly little cross poles and then a small straight.
He was so brave!! He never once looked like ducking out and really tried. He has such a babyish jump with his legs all over the place but he looked like he was having so much fun.
I felt a pang of jealousy it wasn't me taking him over jumps for the first time but more than anything I was so proud of him!!
Pointless post really but its the first time I've had a young horse and I feel like a mum watching her baby learn new things!
