he has to be seriously encouraged to go out for a wee and he diaharead (sp)
pure blood :{
im am going to my vet tomorrow to book him into heaven :{
will prob be tuesday, i am heartbroken, but i can no longer do anything for him.

hes passed blood before last year it happens when he gets the runs .
vet here in spain wanted at least 3 days notice as hes such a big dog
not ideal i know but a v nice vet and local .
so im hoping tues ?........hoping prob wrong word :{
what i am hoping with all my heart is that he passes awy in his sleep before i take him xx

I'm so sorry WW but I think you do know when they've had enough:(

Btw, it may be the metacam that's causing the bleeding (it doesn't suit some dogs and it's a well known side effect) so you might want to stop giving it.

((((HUGS)))

Ouch that sounds horrible, poor lad, I have never had one with diarrhoea that serious :( I hope he is not in too much pain until your vet can do what is needed, makes me glad I live in England :(:(:(

(((hugs))) for you, such a difficult time :(:(

thing is im 99.9 % sure hes not in any pain :{
hes had an imodium and is pooing normally now.
he never yelps or whines , its just his legs arnt doing what he wants them to do.
if i thought for 1 milisecond he was in any pain i would be driving half the width of spain to get him to a vet. as ive said i bred this boy i watched him come into the world and ill watch him go out. so i certainly would never let him suffer.
hes sat by my side now and if i look at him his tail wags like mad :}
so im sure our last weekend together will be hard enough.

how sad for you:( the only defect dogs have is that they don't live long enough. I had to pts both my rotties a few years back, my little girl was only 8 and my man was 11. It was a really rough year.
Hugs and vibes and have a great weekend together.

sorry to hear this. metacam is very good but not neciceraliy so in an older dog. metacam needs good kidney and liver function which sadly in old age is not so. enjoy and spoil him and let him go quietly at home with dignity.

Take care,remember all the great times you had with him,your doing the right thing,i know its hard,but its the last act of kindness you can do for him.My thoughts with you.

bruce is thinking its his birthday lol he normally gets i meal in evening.........
hes had chocolate biccies for breakfast ,ice cream for snack and his fresh fish is cooking in the oven :}
he thinks he has his own chef bless him.
on the downside didnt want to go for his walk today :{
taking plenty of pics. but as tues looms closer im feeling v scared and v v sad.
thanks for all you guys support it really is helping. i know its the right thing to do.

Huges hugs to you xxx

I really feel so desperately sorry for you - the waiting must be unbearable :(

What a lucky boy he is though to have had you as an owner, sounds like he has been loved and cherished and you are doing the most important and selfless act to end his days at the right time. xxx

I'm so sorry to read this :( it's very hard :(

The waiting is unbearable for you, but they have no idea do they? :o Make the most of the time you have. Remember better a day too soon than a day too late. was in the same situ this time last year but with my pony ...

Hugs for you xxxxxxxxxx
