Jen, my trainer, is taking my boy round Tweseldown cross country schooling tomorrow (I am NOT that brave!). It will be the first time he's been out and about since we bought him so I'm a little worried about how he might behave. I know he loads and travels just fine, so I'm not worried about that . . . but I am concerned about him being just a tad lit up by being somewhere new and exciting. We'll put the jumping bridle on him (waterford, flash and martingale) to give Jen some extra brakes and he's going with a sensible "friend" from the yard, Poppy, who is a pro at things like this. If I can find my camera charger, I plan on taking pictures so stay tuned . . . oh and please send "behave Kali" vibes our way.

P.S. He evented and hunted in his previous home so we know he's bold . . .

Thank you! So hoping he does well . . . he is bold as brass over fences, but can be a little quirky in new surroundings. My other (and, frankly, overriding) hope is that he comes back safe and uninjured . . . he's rather a delicate flower ;).

Ohhh fingers crossed it all goes well and you get some good piccies :D

It sounds like your taking all the precautions and I'm sure it'll go fine *touch wood* , especially seeing as he has hunted and evented before.

Is Tweasledown local to you? Sorry just being nosy , I live 5-10 mins from there :p

Yes, it's pretty local. I live in Sandhurst, yard is in Shinfield so not far at all.

Where are you?
