I have a cottage craft full check snaffle and yesterday i finnished riding and got off and changed tack around (Because they share a bridle at the moment due to one breaking!). I then noticed the ring which the bit attaches too had snapped completly through the metal. The bit is not old but not brand new either. Do you think the company would like to hear about it/investigate or not?

Thanks
Lucy :)

:O!! ye i would tell them that could be dangerous!! you image that happening to a little 5 year old on her pony and she hasn't learnt to us her seat to slow the pony down yet and the pony zoooms of!!
plus you never no they might send you a new one free :P

What we were taught in Lorinery is you can never be sure there is no flaws or hairline fractures in metalwork these days. Stainless steel is alot stronger than the old nickel bits we used to have but even so, it is not infallible.
Most of the lorinery comes over from China now anyway and although it is good you are never 100% sure of their casting methods.
I would tell the supplier/seller or whatever but doubt very much you will get a refund or exchange, that only tends to happen if it caused an accident and they are afraid of being sued!
