This is peggy my 8 year old whippet and she my first dog ..i do have another younger one aswell

peggy had an awful accident two years ago where she was running too fast and damaged her spinal cord which made her paralysed in her hind legs...she went to 3 vets which included a referral for a MRI and then to my sighthound vet which got her walking and leading a good quality of life BUT of course she'l never be 100% and is now slowly getting weaker
thought i'l put a pic of her

this sort of accident can happen, unfortually these breed of dog are born to run and it can be the speed that 'can' course injuries but you dont hear about them often..but saying that this year ive know 3 whippets having a major spinal injuries and my friends whippet died instancely while chasing after a ball and lost its footing on uneven ground
These sort of injuries are a small percentage
but thanks for the kind replies
