Following on from EquestrianFairy's post, it made me think of my BOGOF....
I had a lovely Cleveland Bay X TB about 7 years ago that I was rehabbing for a friend after a tendon injury, things weren't good and he eventually had to be PTS due to massive arthritis in his pelvis. I was at a loss with no horse, and went to a dealer (later I found not to have a very good rep!) and bought a sorry looking Irish cob mare. After about 2 weeks, she was running milk, I paniced and called the vet who did a rectal and said that she wasn't just about to foal, but he wanted to scan her - he did, and found that she was about 6 weeks in foal!
Around 10 months later, Muppet arrived!
Day Cocoa foaled...

I have still got her now, although she is on loan to a pony club kid who loves her to bits and is doing all sorts with her. I can't manage 2 horses at the moment, but couldn't bring myself to sell her, so this way we get the both of best worlds! Her mum is on permenant loan as a gentle hack after suffering respiratory problems, but she is living the life of riley with lots of grass and attention!
Sorry, the posts earlier just got me thinking how lucky I was!
