My horse had a sarcoid on his ear which was getting bigger & bigger. The ver recommened cutting it away as the cream could damage his ear & possibly lose most of it. So on Tuesday he had it cut away, I must admit i was very nervous about how much ear he was going to lose with cutting it away but the vet done a fab job. He stretched some of the healthy skin across to fill the gap. The sarcoid has been sent off to the lab to see if it was malignant or benign. He also had a few sarcoids frozen. He had one at the base of the inside of his ear which he had frozen aswell.

Here's the sarcoid before

This is how his ear looked after, you can just see the edge of his ear has a little bit missing.

I will post some photos in 2 weeks time when he has his stitches out.

It will look so much better , I had my mares done 3 years ago biopsy said it was benign.Once hair grew back it was just a nick in the side.

It's nice to hear of other people's experiences that are similar. hopefully his ear will go the same way.

They said there's a chance it could especially with him having a few on his under carriage. I had the sarcoid sent of for biopsy & it came back as Benign so hopefully it won't return. Just have to wait & see. The vet is coming out on tuesday to take his stitches out. I'll probably come aswell to see how he's getting on.
Ive been told that he's not a favourite with the students. You'll have to keep me updated on how he's getting on. I don't like to keep ringing all the time. Can't wait to have this baby & get back riding now.

Oh well atleast thats hopeful then. I havn't ridden him yet but i know that some of the 2nd years like to ride him as he can be a bit of a challenge, some of them can get him going really well :) I dont think the yard staff actaully mind the owners comming up at all. Theres quite a few owners who come to see their horses regulary :D
