Well its official, my baby boy is going to his new home tomorrow. I can't put it into words how devastated I am going to be. I know its for the best, him sitting round a field all day at 5 yrs old isn't good for him. He loves going out and exploring and I just don't have the time to do that with him.

Its heartbreaking, how do people cope!

*hugs* I hope you can still keep in touch and watch him blosom, it's going to be hard but you wanted more for him and that's a brave decision to make.

its very hard but you will feel good about it after a while knowing he is going and having fun, i sold my first pony and it was the hardest thing i have ever done and i still feel it now as i dont know where he is, make sure you say to them if they sell him you want them to contact you! thats the mistake i made and i didnt hear anything and they had sold him so i dont know where he is, just have to take there word for it that he is at a nice home. enjoy your time with him before he goes. *hugs*

Oh I didn't think of that :(

neither did i untill i rang them asking how he was and they said they had sold him, i went off on one but looking back i didnt ask them to inform me so didnt have a leg to stand on! i find it better that you sell to someone you dont know so you dont see them all the time or feel like you need to interfere. im sure he will be absolutley fine!! you have done the best thing. have you done a reciept or anything like that?

When I sold Major,I kindly asked the people to sign a paper to say,if you no longer want him,I get first refusal and at the price you bought him for.Luckily the people kept him until he eventually aged and died. They did sign the paper.
I hope you will keep in touch with the new owners!

Big Hugs to you!

My loan mare went back yesturday after having her for 2 years. It was horrible, her owners took her from me and she refused to walk onto the trailer and kept looking at me .. when they manged to get her on she picked up a fuss kicking the back of the trailer calling out and kept looking back towards us. It was horrible to see as I miss her so much and all I keep thinking was her trying to look back at us. I keep crying as well just because I miss her and don't know if shes settled in okay (knowing her she will) but it still worries me.

I know how you are feeling and I don't think I will be able to get over her. I am ment to be going to see a new horse on Friday but I keep wondering if theres any point in even riding again because I just feel awful. I know she will be okay but my mind just plays tricks on me!

I really hope that it goes well for you and that you can still keep in touch with his new owners. I shall be thinking of you!

(sorry about me going on about my mare)

xx
