hahah! i have convinced the other half to have a riding lesson tonight at a very expensive private yard to give him the best experience possible.
Ever since i have been diagnosed with various illnesses he has had to help me with the horses twice a day every day before and after work over the past year. He is a natural i am astounded at his progress! i have been with horses over 9 years he has only helped me over the past year and he is better then me!..he can muck out do haynets, waters, fencing, lunge, take them on walks, put a headcollar on, pick feet out, groom, hold for clipping, vaccs ect worm them make feeds hes brilliant!.. He has a massive calming influence on my yearlings and i keep telling him he will be the next monty roberts if he got into it properly! I have never in my horsey life seen anyone who calms and cures horses of everything ! wanted him to try get more into it so that when franks ready to be broken he can ride him.

I am over the moon that my OH has taken a interest so much its the best feeling ever!!!

He asked me i wonder what its like to ride so i went a booked one haha!
he seems excited about it ! bit pointless post really but just wanted to share :)

Also going to pursuade him to take his bhs exams if i pay hehe!!! :D:D:D

Sounds like you taught him well :p

Every time I've taken a boyf to meet my mare they tend to decide not to come back :o:o

haha! he never used to come only since he has had too! just force them and they will soon enjoy it haha!:) say your car has broken down so they have to spend time there :D

Haha hope it goes well for him! My OH has expressed a vague interest, hope he loves it when i get new horse! He is a bit of a Monty Roberts at heart too I think, maybe its something about their indifference, I think I do have a tendency to get full on and mollycoddling!

I was fortunate to meet my other half through our love for horses :)

Horses are about the only thing in his vocabulary and we've taught each other so much from our different horsey backgrounds.

I swear there is nothing more attractive than a man handling a horse and knowing what he's doing!

Let us know how he gets on :) My hubs is really into horses now i have The Boy, and it has made a real difference being at a yard he's comfy at too. He's now started riding Shy and has handled some of his shies (sp) like a true pro.

here they are, the best boys ;
