Still Fig-uring it out...
My lovely, nutty mare has come such a long way, I just had to brag about her. She is such a strong, brave horse and I am so proud of her.
Here she is on the first day that she arrived at the farm:

She was a nightmare for the first few months; stressy, uninterested in food, crib-biting etc. We put her out in a field on grass and hay (no concentrate as she hots up terribly and gallops around like a mad thing) and gave her time. We did lots of grooming, carrots, walking on a lead, gradually introduced ridden work, schooling and eventually some fast work and jumping and this is the result, 3 years on;

She is the absolute light of my life, mad as a hatter and I wouldn't change a thing. We have also managed to (mostly) stop the crib-biting. She is out 24/7 (in South Africa) and has a 3 acre paddock with 2 other horses. She only crib-bites whilst being bathed or is she has to stand for the vet.
