A friends little sister has been around the horses for a couple of years now but just likes to give them a bit of a brush and gets fed up after a while. She never seems overly interested but does like coming to see them now and then. Due to the lack of interest sometimes we didn't really think that she picked much up but boy were we wrong! She saw my fat cat today and told me that he is poorly. I assured her that he wasn't poorly. She then started crying and said that he was 'pone to aminitus and would have to go to sleep forever if he didn't get a skinny boy!!! '
I quickly pointed out to her that cats can't get laminitus as they don't have hooves. She wasn't having any of it though! It's amazing what kiddies pick up!

will never forget a story my YM told me about her youngest daughter being in the car and the radio was on and they were discussing condoms on the radio, YM assumed youngest daughter hadnt noticed it. 15mins later youngest daughter pipes up with 'mummy whats a condom'? YM explains in a way appropriate for a young child and thinks no more of it. well later on that month youngest daughter comes running into older brothers room, where he is staying with girlfriend and proceeds to say.....'i hope you used a condom last night'.....

little kids eh. what gems
