My cat STINKS!!!

What could possibly be making my lovely little munchkin cat do the worst smelling farts EVER????
Shes putting my husband to shame, as hers are actually worse than his now!!!

No curry has been fed, just cat food and its def not the husband, I know his smell!!!!!!!!

hmm, that sounds pretty pongie!! What age is said cat; has there been any changes in type of cat foods fed; does it hunt and eat what it catches? Are teeth in good order?

Good question!! I think shes about 7. No changes at all, she spends her days either asleep on a red hot radiator or snuggled up with the dog and gets up to be fed, then spends the evening gasing us!!!!

Perhaps some wholesome fresh air and exercise after food is what this feline needs - if teeth, glands etc are in working order!! Is she constipated (getting down to the nitty gritty here)?. Mind you, if I had her life think I'd be reluctant to brave the freezing weather....and carry on the way I always had!!

Change in cat food? Cat food too rich perhaps? Cats do need a little exercise as this helps the digestive tract work.

TBH I think a trip to the vet just to be on the safe side.

I didn't even know cats could fart until I met my sister's! He stinks at times too.

I heard a TV vet the other day saying that when it is cold cats will stay in the warm and 'hold in' their poo and wee. Maybe she is doing this and it's making her stinky?

I'd take to the vet though - just to be safe. Hope she is OK.

You have my deepest sympathies, I know what it can be like. My cat got so bad this summer that I asked the vet about it. His response was that if I was eating rotting mouse brains I would probably fart pretty badly too (cat is fine and was checked over anyway )
