Well done mum hope you find good homes for them all, just to warn you the mum can catch on again really quick as tom cats will be hanging about so please book her in for as soon as the kittens have stopped feeding.
Glad to hear they're all doing well! As I said just keep checking them through the night that they're all warm and all having an equal chance of suckling. Kittens can't regulate their body temp so rely on their mum and their sisters and brothers to keep them warm so if one happens to move away from the litter it can become poorly very quickly. Sounds like you're all doing great so far though! You'll waste hours of time playing with the kittens!! :>)
Well i think she has finished at 4, the last one being a tabby shes such a good mum, i put some food out for her and although she was desperate to eat she was very unsure about leaving the babies so i encouraged her out and she ate all her dinner then snuggled back down with them. There all still warm and feeding well
Will be booking her in for spaying as soon as kittens are weaned.
If anybody is looking to rehome a kitten please PM me, am in the west mids
They are sooooo beautiful, my cat had kittens nearly 14 years ago , still have mum and daughter but her son died a few years ago
Really want another, if you need homes I would love another one, love the ginger and white one xx
On another note regarding this, in our local paper they are advertiseing 'cats' for £60, wtf, I sepnt soo much time and attention on my new borns ( mum was not intersted until they could walk) sent them away with food and toys and charged exactly £000000, why are people asking for sooo much for a kitten nowadays?
congratulations! please resist the urge to touch them for the next 2 weeks as it is her first litter! i would also take her food and water (or milky water )to her and let her eat whilst with the babies. she will eat and drink at least 3 times usual amount whilst feeding the babies. please dont let everyone visit them as this will upset her and increase the chances that she will leave them. they will be so much fun in 4 weeks time but give her privacy for the next couple of weeks so they get a good start. Again congratulations. all mine have been done so no babies for me this year.
I *believe* the reason that they advertise the kittens at such a price is to discourage the people who get pets based on a whim. My cat, William, was advertised at X£ but when we went to get him we were told that there was no cost - it was just to prevent impulse kittycatting.
awwww i love kittens omg you cat looks like my old cat apart from mine didnt have ginger on her just the tabby lol my 2 cats had kittens with in a couple of days od each other (years ago) think one had 5 the othe 4 and the older cat used to go and steal the other kittens lol was so cute think it was because the other one wasnt a very good mother!
Take care with the spaying plans hun. Kittens will wean at about 6 weeks but your clever little mother cat could easily be in season again after just 3 or 4 weeks. Yonks ago it was the done thing to let a cat have 1 litter before spaying. My little tortoiseshell had a first litter of 3 and they were all happily re-homed. But she started calling again at about 5 weeks and went on to have a 2nd litter of 5 kittens as it was too late to spay her. In fear and trembling of the kitten count going up by 2 every time, she was spayed after this 2nd litter but they can catch you out!
Your kittens are beautiful It is a good thing that I am not closer or I'd have one. You can still get your cat spayed if she is already pregnant again. Mine was preganant at 6 months when we got her spayed (she was a real tart ) and the vet was quite happy to go ahead with the op.
yes you can get her done even if she is caught on again as longas your willing to do so. As i said the tom cat will be about so keep an eye out they breed like rabbits
