It's my turn on a Sunday to turn my horse and my two friends horses out in the field as my friend does it the other days. I really love getting to the yard early and seeing all the horses wake up and hearing the birds singing and the break of day :)

However this morning I ended up a little earlier than normal.

Friend and me had a conversation last night reminding me to put my clock forward an hour on my mobile phone. :) Mobile phone went off at supposedly 6am this morning, the time I'd set it for. Only trouble was my phone had gone forward an hour on its own automatically! I didn't realise so jumped out of bed had a quick shower, dragged a comb through my hair (was intending to ride so didn't really give a damn about my hair) and jumped in the car.

Driving along the road in the pitch black listening to the radio thinking it was a a little bit dark still at 6.30am and wondering why my clock was a different time to my mobile clock. So you can imagine my total shock and dismay when the DJ on the radio announced it was actually 5.30am!

Had to pull into a lay by and sit for 30 mins as I thought it was a little unfair to arrive at the yard at that time as the YO lives on site!

My horse was totally gobsmacked to see me arrive at that time as he'd been fast to sleep and staggered to his feet so he could have a treat. I had to wait for ages until it was light but then I rode for 30 mins, fed and booted all three horses and was home at 8.15am so not too bad!

Silly me  So very, very tired now.

I did the same thing :o

Was convinced my phone doesn't automatically update...yep it does :o Was meeting a friend to go for a run and was hopping about like a loony waiting for her - finally decided she *must* have forgotten to change her clock and set off alone - d'oh! Still, run is done and I'm going to have a coffee in bed!

I always change my watch and my bedside clock in the evening when I go to bed. That way when I wake up, I know what time it really is. then in the morning I go round the house and do the other clocks.

See if I hadn't been going for a run, I would have changed my watch last night, instead of thinking "Oh I'll do it when I get back" and relied on my phone, which in my mind, I had changed... My bedside clock changes automatically too - but doesn't change until about 11am for some reason, so I know not to rely on that! It's such a stupid thing to mess up, but no harm done! :o
