My colt has discovered Women !!!!

Posted in NL but thought you lot would understand more !!! ha ha

my 2 1/2 year old colt who is the most laid back horse ever has suddenly discovered women (mares) he has always been out next to them and has never really taken any notice of them and to be honest has been pushed away by the other geldings !!

Well last night he suddenly decided that he wanted to be in with them - and jumped the 5ft fence !!! now im quite impressed he has a few scrapes on his back legs missing but atleast i know he can jump i didnt think he would have it in him !!!

Ive moved him fields now - no more playing with the girlies for him !!! he was standing in the field with a big grin on his face though as if to say

'mum ive realised why i have these big things inbetween my les now'

well i havent put him over anything yet he had a shoulder injury as a yearling so dont really want that to reacurre though im sure it wouldnt but everyone said he popped the fence easily !!

if he is gentle with it now I doubt much will change... we will start work with our two year old shortly as there is nothing worse than starting a hormonal three year old in the spring........... but they sure do look purdy all puffed up and prancing.......

He has an amazing temprement he is just so laid back nothing worry's him at all !!! ive started doing things with him now and he just takes it all in his stride im really excited actually !!
