Oh shame, Mum was up again on Saturday putting girly braids in my mane and tail what is that all about? Does she do it to make me look stupid in front of my pals
? Have to say she was chatting away to me whilst she did it which was nice, and I got a carrot afterwards I think because I stood still and fell asleep
!
Anyway, very early Sun morning Mum appeared in my field looking very bleary eyed, and talking about a Will Young concert shed been to the night before who is Will Young? A new farrier perhaps? I thought shes come to take this awful bucket off my nose, but no she took me in and made my coat and toes shine my Im a handsome boy
!! Then a big wheely stable arrived, but great joy my friend Huggie was already in there so I shot straight up the ramp for a chat
. I was very excited as when Huggie is around we go jumping together yippee
!
We had a quick journey, and soon Mum was putting my tack on, but it wasnt my jumping bit and saddle, oh no not all that girly prancing about in front of someone in a car
?!! Sure enough that was what was in store. I tried really hard in the warm up, I think I wanted to impress my mate Huggie, not to mention the fit mares that were there too wink wink!
I heard Mum telling someone we were doing prelim 4??? I dont know what that means, but I went into the arena and tried really really hard, Mum let me go forward a bit more and I didnt get my legs in a tangle when we cantered. And please please dont tell anyone this, but I actually quite enjoyed it
! When we finished the judge got out of the car, (it seems it was someone Mum had known briefly when she first got me) and said oh my god, I cant believe it, surely its not the same horse what does she mean not the same horse, hello of course it was me, who else looks like me?? I really didnt understand as Mum seemed really pleased and kept hugging me??
A little bit later, I was back on the wheely stable with Huggie sharing a yummy haynet, Mum came along with that sheet she gets given. I heard her tell her friend that they we got 64.1% and had come 8th out of 30 and qualified for the Norton Heath championship show, she seemed so pleased and kept patting me and hugging me
(I do love it when she does that, but I wish she would lay off in public!) Then she read out what the judge had written well done both of you, it really cannot be the same horse, what a transformation I think she was trying to say that I was a real dude
!
We then went home, and I was allowed out in the field and I got some carrots and more hugs (yes in front of my pals). I was sad to say bye to Huggie
, but glad to be home, although I did have a nice day, I was quite tired and more than ready for a nap.
