my conformation critique

any suggestions and thoughts welcome about my boy solo. he is 16.1 10yo kwpn.
He is currently on box rest for 12 weeks as he has problems with his hindleg suspensary ligament.
Vets have said this is due to his poor conformation looking like a typical warmblood.
I have spoken to a few horsey folk and they have said his conformation isnt that bad.
Vets have also said he would only be suitable for light hacking absolutly gutted as we were competing at elementary dressage and he is not a hacking horse.
So any thoughts good or bad would be very helpful!!

in both standing pics - he seems to be straight in hock and seems to be standing with them behind him - maybe unfortunate pics but if you were doing elementary it cant be hindering him too much - why have they said hack only - because of suspensory?
 
he is quite straight in the hock and the probs only seemed to start happening when we started elementary fine for a while they he started loosing the plot. Yeah vet said light hacking because of suspensary ligament :(
 
I hear this so often, warmbloods are worked quite hard at a young age that coupled with some conformation can create these problems at a later stage. I have a german WB who has some hind issues, we were working through them with my wonderful back lady but as to whether he could do other than hacking is another matter we will see.
 
its so sad isnt it summerleft, i bought solo from a dealer who brought him over from holland. i think the chances are they prob noticed his conformation wasnt the best and got rid. When i got him he couldnt canter and so unbalanced but he had obv had been properly worked when younger as he knows everythin and he was only 6 when i bought him. Won lots prelim and novice but now he couldnt even leg yield last time i rode him :(
 
more than likely, it is sad, I find them to be wonderful horses mine came over sometime after he was 7, his passport isnt too helpful. he has the biggest back legs but does move nicely. Good luck, let us know how he goes
 
he could canter it was just a bit unbalanced walk and trot were fab, just had to work a lot on canter got there in the end mostly 8's and 2 9's!!
