My darling Dylan was PTS yesterday

Yesterday I lost my best friend. He'd been kicked a few weeks ago, it turned out it caused a hairline fracture in his leg, and at some point on Monday night it moved. I went up before my exams yesterday and he could barely walk, the vet thought the infection from the cut where he was kicked had tracked up, came to see him and was totally stunned that his leg was broken.

Rest in peace, sweetheart, you were one of a kind. We had so many good times together that I'll never forget xxx

And should his stay be brief, you'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief. "
 
Thank you all so so much :) I finally worked up the courage to read this thread this morning.

I miss him already, I just want to go up to the yard and see his big stupid face looking over the door.
