My Date with Timefaulter ...................

I would just like to post about my date with Timefaulter, this was the first time a had met David (timefaulter) and was nice to see such a happy bubbly person we hit it off straight away and introduced him to the beastie (sky). David watched me warm up, and he has now changed the way i warm up, it was like i was ridding a different horse to David's way of warming him up, sky all of a sudden was very willing and trying his heart out, after the warm up i was shown how to half halt and stop through my seat leaving his head alone, and this totally worked, i had no arguments with sky at all, and even when he did throw a strop over a box flying towards him in the wind, David gave me the confidence in my new approach and hand position to ride him through it. This is all going to help with my SJ and braking issues, i can now stop with just my seat !

It was lovely to have someone who understood me and the horse which i think is very hard to find and is priceless.

So Mr Timefaulter i want to thank you for your time and understanding towards both of us, and im so going to work hard to get our flat work up to scratch, and hopefully David will come back so i can show my progress !

I now feel i have a horse who i understand.

Sounds very inspiring, and you seemed to have learned such a lot in just one lesson.
Well done (and timefaulter too obviously)!!

Sometimes I wish I didn't live in NI!!!

If I could find an SJ instructor like that I would lock him/her in a box too (as am totally incapable unless someone is on the ground shouting at me)!

Oooo! I'm going to have to have a go too! Is he good with total wimps who pretend they prefer dressage cos they've lost their nerve after having kids?

Well, i used to warm up with my hand on his neck and tip forwards to feel safe, but now David has me sitting up and hands up high, i could'nt even do a 20m circle right but now, i can do a 5m circle, my steering is much better !

I would so reconmened David to anyone, he got me sorted out within minutes
