Hi all

We have had a pony on loan for the last six months. When i asked my daughter what she wanted for xmas she said Angel (pony).

I have been telling her since she asked that i couldnt afford her but we would save up and buy her next year.

I secretly bought her a couple of months ago and have been dying with the secret since.
All my yard were in on it and today before we got there someone put a sash i had printed around Angels neck.

After opening presents at home we went to the yard to muck out and get sorted. Hopefully if the link works you can see the video, this was before she pinned me to the stable crying her eyes out(with happiness i hope).

Hope you all had a lovely special xmas too :) :)

It was really hard and kept telling her she wasnt getting her and even told her before we went the farm to make the most of her first xmas with Angel because the owner might take her back next year lol.

I think i convinced myself she wasnt ours until i saw her face this morning.

A piccie :)

Thanks all.

The reason this pony is so special to us is in January this year my daughter had a bad accident on her previous pony and broke her foot in 5 places.

There was a time i thought she might give up riding but then we got the chance to loan Angel and she has been an angel, she is only 5 and hadnt done much when we got her.

But together there confidence has grown and now daughter loves riding and even hacking which is something she said she would never do again.

That is why today was so special :)

Reminds me of when I was 14 and my mum had bought my share pony for Xmas and we went upmthe yard and there she was with a Sash around her neck, anyway some 20 years later and that is still the best Xmas present ever, So I know your daughter will never forget it. I did something similar for my own daughter with her pony but it was for her birthday not Xmas, so be prepared for starting a family tradition :)

What a lovely photo!

That pony looks like the perfect confidence-giver but I'm probably biased as we had a similar cob until she was 31 and she was a super safe but fun ride.
