Hiya havn't been on here for a while! I have Belle my TB mare who I have owned for just over a year and my daughter who has just turned 8 has Treacle a five year old pony who we have had 6 months. We decided to enter ourselves into the local riding club annual show a couple of months ago. It was all very nerve racking as my mare can be a 'mare' and we didn't know how the pony would react as he is only a baby. After a load of preperation and nerves off we went first thing on Sunday morning. My daughter was entered in tack and turnout (her first show ever, and first class of the day) so we got the pony off the trailer and I he behaved like a pro, in fact he didn't put a hoof wrong all day he was perfect, she went on to come 3rd in tack and turnout (9 in class and all adults), 2nd in Handsomest gelding and then 1st in First Ridden. Me and her dad were in tears twice with pride!! Then there is me.... we were in Prettiest Mare, got her off trailer (she has been an racehorse and an eventer but can be naughty!!) again very well behaved, off we went into class and won!! Then we went in the Ridden TB, she was brilliant and then much to my delight we won and to top it off we won 'best ex-racehorse'. What a day I am so proud of us all and thank my lucky stars that i have two fantastic horses. Roll on the next show.....

What a pair of lovely horses!! And well done on all the rosettes, have you stopped smiling yet? :)

Love your daughter's pony, he sounds like the sort that every little girl wants. I hope she doesn't grow out of him too quickly and has many many years of fun with him.

no still on a high!!
He is a fantastic first pony...we are hoping she doesnt grow to quick too, dread the day we have to part with him!

I try telling her she is lucky, i would have loved him as my first pony he is adorable. When he had finished on Sunday he was tied to the trailer whilst I was in my last class, he must have got sick cos he untied himself and took himself off into the trailer as though to say 'I'm ready for home now'. The little horror, he wont go in when we want him to!!!!!
