Me again. Why is it that when we advertised our TB for loan back in the summer, I was inundated with replies,(mostly from people living too far away) but now, no-one is interested? Does this mean that, although the loan would have been for a year or two, someone would have happily taken him for a few months, then suddenly decide they've lost their job/grazing etc? Really makes me wonder.

I think it's more that people dont want to start a loan coming into winter. At least in summer you have plenty of time to get to know the horse and ride. plus, a lot of people I know have had a horse on loan over winter, only for the owner to take them back in summer.
