dog poo to be precise!

jack my 14yo jack russel was caught in the garden with what looked like a stick but was in fact some dried up poo!

He has always been fed dried dog food all his life ie bakers. Do you think its a sign he is lacking in something?

Hes not generally a 'stick' type dog so i dont think he had it confused with something else!

Are you sure it wasnt cat poo. One of our dogs thinks it is a delicacy!

p.s. Did you really call your Jack Russell "Jack"

hmmmm maybe it was cat poo - it was a right dried up thing and he was very grumpy when we took it off him!

yes he's called jack! - not that you could call him a jack russel - hes way to tall and fluffy! - i think hes the more old fashioned hunting sort rather than a modern day 'typical one'! lol

Eating poo is called cophrophagia - google it

Bakers might be part of the problem... or it might not.. anyway - what I have read about commercial foods like Bakers (not all commercial foods) is that alot of them come out the 'other end' only partially digested - so there is still nutritional value in there (ie. in the poo)... so by feeding your dog something ele, you could help stop the problem.

Incidentally - Everything I have ever read about Bakers is bad - obviously you make your own decisions on what to feed your pets - but perhaps you could look at something like burns pet food instead? Or Natures Harvet/ Naturediet for wet food? Again - try googling reviews of Bakers

Just to really gross you out, my little boy (human!) went through a stage of poo-ing in the garden and our lab would clear it up!
