My Dog is SUCH a Poser!

We have finally got our garden sorted! Well the fencing is nearly finished, but is done enough to keep the hound in

Ignore the state of the lawn, it is in the process of being re-seeded

We only have a tiny patch outside the front door, but we live on a 30 acre farm with no dog proof fencing, so up until now Otto has always had to be on his lead - lots of sheep, ponies and chickens around, plus a busy road at the end of the drive!

So Otto gets to outside off the lead, although we can't leave him unsupervised, as he could easily hop over and bog off, but it's better than nothing!

Today he had lots of fun posing in the sunshine

What a ridiculously long and silly tail he has!!

He loves watching the birds, it's lovely sitting outside with him whilst he pootles about

I bet he is excited about his garden!! Sweep is concerned that he is looking far to clean for a real spaniel - please sort asap!!

Haha There is a reason he is soooo shiny and white...

Yesterday whilst out for our walk, Otto was walking along the river bank, he was knee deep in disgusting mud, but then he went and jumped in the river and got clean...

HOWEVER on the way home, he found the foulest, most disgusting, smelly bit of mud and waded into it until it was up to his chest, with all his leaping about he also managed to get it all over his face and back

He was no longer black and white but brown and stinking, so it was bath time for Otto

I wouldn't swap Otto for the world, and he is usually fast asleep in the house

o yes, we lost or 14 3/4 year old springer in november, so we are well prepared

i cant wait to have a springer back in our lives again

That is exactly why I got Otto!

I grew up with a Springer, his name was Midge and he was amazing, he was PTS 3 years ago last Nov, and I desperately wanted another one.

Otto is the opposite of Midge in soooo many ways, but in all the right ways he is the same

Soft as grease!

My Mum and I have decided the Otto is Midge re-incarnated as the dog he always wanted to be, athletic and a beast!

He is looking really well.

Mine yesterday decided whilst out before I went to work that rolling in fox S*** would be fun! I dunked her in trough but it only seemed to spread it so had to after having my shower stick her in!! LOL!

Dogs who would have them!

Well, I was dubious, but that is the fence the landlord gave us

He went straight over my OH's Parent's garden fencing, which is about 4ft, and my Parent's fencing which was clearly too high for him to think about jumping, he went through it instead

But we've had this fencing up for 24hrs, and as yet has made no attempt to go over (frantically touching wood)

I think the fact that he can see through it, takes away the need for him to jump up to see over it, and therefore the temptation to go over!

Although we have electric fencing on standby if needs be, as he is terrified of the mere sight of it!

His weight is a bugger at the moment, he stresses it off so quickly and ends up looking like a hat rack

He also keeps getting upset tums, randomly (although also from doing naughty things like stealing solidified cheese sauce out the bin

)
We are thinking of swapping him onto Skinners Duck and Rice to see if that settles his stomach a bit.

Otto enjoys Eau De Goose Sh*t, something I can't say I agree with
