We had sleet overnight which then froze, so everything is frozen solid today (apart from my water supply, yay!) and no-one can turn out their horses as the yard is literally sheet ice

So I thought I would take the dogs out for a run around the empty paddocks - nice flat grass, they should love it

Well no, they spent the whole time half-heartedly chasing their ball then looking at me meaningfully with this "my feet are freezing please can we go in now" expression

I gave up eventually, not even sure I will take them on their new walk route later unless it thaws a bit

BTW that is Pauntley church in the pics, and the jumps are Pauntley XC course - quite handy for our yard

And my mum wonders why I dont want to move back to Oxfordshire, with scenery like this on my doorstep....

I have been playing snowballs with Sweep and Max - I throw them and they either catch them or the look for them in the snow - amuses all of us for hours!!

What a beautiful place to live!

Henry just tried to give me a heart attack walking over the frozen pond, but it must be pretty solid cos it didn't so much as creak!

Well as predicted they spent the whole day asleep on the sofa/my bed and refused to set foot outside unless they Absolutely Had To
crazy.gif
I have seen so many pics of greyhounds hooning around in the snow having fun, why have I got wimpish ones

What a stunning area - really beatiful views

We have the same amount of snow as you - practically none!! But evrything is frozen solid. Was very disappointed not to be able to ride today but nags went out into the field and its been beautifully sunny
smile.gif

My dogs don't seem to notice what the weather is doing as long as they can follow pheasant trails!
wink.gif

Your views are truley breath taking, where abouts is that, ie what county? Your dogs look cute in their coats, my Jerry Springer has a hand knitted roll neck jumper on, specially knitted for dogs by a lady at my mums church, he looks cute too.

Oh yes it is! That's what we've got and we're calling it snow

Splotchy I think it's the frozen ground that they don't like as mine are just the same. Liz found a discarded pink squeaky pig and tore around like a turbo charged nutter for 30 minutes but the others were on tipitoes. No pics of mine as their coats are just plain embarrasing compared to yours ......their mummy made them
crazy.gif

Hey I have HUGE admiration for anyone who can make coats - although relatively mine werent that expensive, GRWE give good value

Today is one of those "why exactly do I have spindly, delicate little animals like greyhounds and thoroughbreds" days
