I have no idea why they have a bad name.Mine has just turned 5 and i have been re schooling her for just under a year...i'm lucky in that she is very willing and loves work and learning, shes not been easy, and she still isnt easy but i wouldnt change her! Shes not the most affectionate, and is very hot headed but she is a lovely creature, and hasbeen a pleasure to own and work with and has come so so far in this year, and i'm hoping to get her out this year! :)

She's alot nicer out of her stable haha, but in it she'd sooner eat you then cuddle you! and i think it was from ride away last night, its a polypad and the thickest one i think, bit of a bummer through summer but thats my 'oh its pretty-lets buy it' side setting in before the sensible side! haha x

Oh brill lol yeah I only have one in navy blue and don't think maisie likes looking like a boy lol I may have to invest in one :D hehe

She is gorgeous and a lovely even collection!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Must ask though, you don't wear boots for flatwork? I daren't risk my Tb's crappy stickthin legs at all, though she's a self injurous sod - lol

This is good to hear! :)

I've just started ambling around hacking out on my 3yr old - he only ran flat four times, has had 7 mths off and has a very busy little mind and a wicked sense of entertaining himself. I had intended leaving him another year but he is proving to be making an absolute nuisance of himself in the field!

He's adapted really well - not remotely bothered by having an English saddle plonked on him nor that my legs are lower down round him where he isn't used to them. He isn't bothered by any traffic - cars, lorries, buses - just finds the farm animals we may pass worthy of snorting at  The only thing he does seem to register is that I sit in canter - he flashes his ears around at me so clearly finds this quite odd! And he flicks on and off the bridle of his own accord if you put leg on and keep a good contact with his mouth which isn't something I was expecting!

Oh, and he absolutely refuses to get his feet wet. He will not put his feet in puddles or mud. Forget it. No way! He'd rather try to leap over these horrors or shimmy round - he whipped my stirrup leather off and bashed his stifle on a gate post trying to avoid a muddy puddle!!

He's been a source of utter amusement all winter and I hope he enjoys our summer of just ambling around on hacks under no pressure :D

We did, until she decided it was okay to rip hers to shreds whilst lunging! haha- in all honestly shes not very accident prone, and is very very careful-strangely! :)

She is lovely! Got a great jump on her too!
Its nice to hear you've been taking it slowly too, I'm sure you'll both do very well together :)

He's quite woolly and has rug rubs at the moment - he actually looks like an RSPCA neglect case!! He dunks his head half under in his water bucket or flicks water out with his top lip, he loves his eyes being rubbed and his ears pulled (like you're pulling them off!).

He swears blind he can't go over a trotting pole even at wander pace, but will leap a ditch or puddle quite happily when out  And he has a Phantom Lameness - only present if he's ambling about in the arena for 15 minutes or on the lunge for five minutes, regardless of which leg he's on!! Once he's out and about though it's suddenly, miraculously gone! Hahaha!! :D

But he's mine and he's lush and I thank the impatient owner who asked the race yard to sell him. THANK YOU!!!! :D

She is lovely, you look great together too

I agree about the exracers, I love them. Iv have a cracking IDx on lvtb and she is a lot of fun but im finding I just miss having a TB, so much so im thinking im going to sell the ID for the owner and look for an exracer. I have TB withdrawal symtoms lol
